It would seem that Ghost Recon Future Soldier didn’t push the limit of unpopular games, selecting FIFA Street has pushed the number of participants down to just two. Personally I really enjoyed the game, so I was a little surprised that so few people decided to share their views on the game.
First of those to comment was Mickey2010, who felt that whilst the game looks good, “its lack of game modes does not warrant the £40 price tag!” They also found the game’s unlock system to be frustrating, although admitted that it may well be because they’re not particularly good at the game. Ultimately they rated the game as a Bargain Bin It, but felt it was a great game despite the issues they had with it.

Our other commentator was Crazy_Del, who got straight to the point by saying the game is “Very short.” In particular they felt that the campaign was short but enjoyable. However, where the game really fell apart for them was in the “Online Cups as there are cheats playing.” These sort of online issues, particularly that of people quitting out of game, can really harm a game’s online experience if they’re not handled properly.
Crazy_Del unfortunately suffered from one of these quitters, with a 4-0 win somehow becoming a 4-0 defeat when the other player quit. Luckily, FIFA Street’s local multiplayer seems to save it somewhat, with Del commenting that the “only great thing is playing with a teammate in the house with a few beers.” I can certainly agree with that sentiment, I’ve had an awful lot of fun playing the game with a group of friends, a couple of beers and a few slices of pizza.
As for Crazy_Del‘s rating, they gave it a Rent It, although they noted that it might be worth getting from the bargain bin if it’s very cheap. Given their problems with cheaters and quitters online it would seem that the online pass for the game doesn’t matter all that much.
So, for those of you that haven’t managed to keep up, we have one vote for Bargain Bin It and one for Rent It, leaving us with a tie one again. However, with Crazy_Del‘s comments about getting the game if it’s very cheap in a bargain bin, it might be worth picking up if you can find it at the right price.
Now, to select tomorrow’s WeView I’m going to try something slightly different. Just to the right you’ll notice I’ve included a poll. The games are all reasonably recent, with the exception of Modern Warfare 3, but if the poll format works I’ll consider including some older games in future.
Anyway you get one vote each and the poll closes at midnight tonight. Once it’s closed I’ll find the most popular option and that will be tomorrow’s WeView. If you don’t like the poll format, or there’s anything you’d like me to change, then let me know in the comments below.

I like the voting game for WeView. Really good actually.
Voted! ^^
Once again thanks for the mention and yes I know it was only Mickey and myself but still….
Thanks and yes I agree playing a game with a group of friends is the way forward.

Yes, i agree that a vote from a pool of games is a much better approach.
Rather than having a random game thrust forward or suggestions of games no-one else owns or that have a niche following is all very well, but it doesn’t go very far unfortunately – This way people can look at the list & think “ah yes (insert game name here), i have played that & have something to say on the matter”.

Just a quick question for commentors, would you rather the results were visible? Or do you like them private?
Crazy_Del
Private. Think I’d like a surprise lol.
But well see what everyone thinks.
I’d vote Private.
Forrest_01
Private probably is better until the announcement of what it is, as it’ll rule out any ‘bandwagon’ voting & people will be voting purely on personal preference.
Kris Lipscombe
That was my main reason for private.

voted!
never played Fifa Street since the Mega Drive era.

Like the new voting system :) And a vote yes to keep it private, everyone likes surprises.
As for FIFA Street, nevef liked them so would never pick this up. When my friends had a go at me for scoring a goal on it I knew it wasn’t the game for me.

*gasps*
How dare you score without fannying about with it for half an hour & across half the pitch first by yourself! Blasphemy! :D

That comment should make its way into the Community Chronicle next week ;)

MW3 will make for some interesting reading I’m sure….

Would have been a great little game if you could have turned the tricks off.
Played a few games with pals on the honour system without tricks and we had a great night.
Enjoyed it, but not worth £40

Great idea for an extra mode in FIFA… like you say without the tricks
Crap as a full release IMO

I’d rather have this as an extra than Ultimate Team
