The latest Tomb Raider is barely weeks old, and yet Square Enix have registered a new name: Lara Croft: Reflections [via]. The last time a Tomb Raider game was phrased like that it ended us as the rather different Guardian of Light, but that’s not likely this time.
“No, Guardian was a great opportunity to explore things that we may not have done in the pillar franchise titles, but in that case it was co-op,” said creative director Noah Hughes a while back.
“There are no plans to do anything in that series but it was a great opportunity to do something a little bit outside of the core.”
So what could this be then? It’s unlikely to be DLC for Tomb Raider – that was recently announced to be purely multiplayer with no new single-player content coming for the game. Chances are it is another spin off project, but it could be anything from a Facebook game to something on mobiles.

That is quick to register a new name after the years that Reborn took to develop. It’d be good to see a single player/co-op only game next time, it doesn’t really need the tacked on MP!

it does sound like it might be some sort of spin off title going on the name alone, and the name seems to be all there is to go on right now.

Must be a spin off. After Tomb Raider was such a success it would be stupid to use the name of a completely different spin off title for the next entry in the main franchise.
Hopefully it’s something for the Vita. :)
