Velocity Ultra Soundtrack And Remixes Released

Blatant Self-Promotion Klaxon! Awooga! Awooga!

After what seems like an eternity the soundtrack to hit shooty-teleport game Velocity Ultra is available to purchase via iTunes.

The album includes six original tunes: Protect, Rescue, Quarp Drive, Search, Conflict Support and Network Autonomy plus the Jonny Martyr remix of Quarp Drive.

Also included are four new remixes of Protect from Gan Juan, Steve Rockett and CoLDSToRAGE, a name you might recognise as he has created music for many games including Wipeout and Shadow Of The Beast.

Wait, that’s three remixes… who have I missed out? Oh yes, me! Yay! Track 10 is the Tuffcub Mix, a big thumpy ‘stadium’ club track with stabbing synth lines and epic breakdowns.

“It’s a screwed up world where a soundtrack is acceptably more expensive than the game that spawned it,” commented Futurlabs James Marsden, “But we’re all very happy to see the music available for purchase. It only took a year! (Velocity on minis was released in May 2012).”

Go on, you know you want to.

  1. “You know you want to” – yes. Yes I do, and i shall!

  2. iTunes thinks that it’s the same James Marsden as the actor who played Cyclops in the X-Men films… Hehehe :D

  3. Look at you, making the longest track on the whole album! SUCH a diva! ;)

    • Ha! I had not spotted that! It is a club mix though, so 2 mins either end are to allow clean mixing in/out of the tune.

And I do like my epic breakdowns :)

Love both of the remixes of Protect! Very contrasting.

    • I’ve not heard Tims mix yet, will grab it when i get home.

      • Jonny Martyr’s mix is a lot of win too.

      • Annoyingly hubby has it before me – I can’t listen to stuff at work!
