The Future Of Final Fantasy To Be Revealed Next Tuesday

Square Enix, following on from their PlayStation-related teaser back in February during the PS4’s reveal, are hosting a pre-E3 mini-conference regarding “The Future Of Final Fantasy.”

The event takes place just before the main doors open to the conference, at 9am on Tuesday morning, and will last for an hour. It’ll also feature Shinji Hashimoto, who was the man teasing something big at E3 months ago.

It’s likely to be based around next-generation Final Fantasy games, and will no doubt have some kind of PlayStation presence. Other details are understandably thin on the ground.

The event follows on from Monday’s main press conferences, and is just after Nintendo’s early morning E3-focused Nintendo Direct.

  1. If the mini-conference will contain a combination of words: next, final, fantasy, mobile – I swear I will fly up to Japan and beat the crap out of Square-Enix CEO or whoever makes decisions.
    Please resurrect Squaresoft!

  2. Come on Square. Don’t let me down.

Give something special to be excited about.

If you announce mobile and facebook games I swear I will be on the next plane to Japan.

    • So, if ‘Yes’ please book two seats and I would like to sit next to the window :)

  3. Vita! Vita! Vita!

    • Nooo!
      Big title.
At least 2 BlueRay disks long.
      Turn based combat system.
      Nobuo Uematsu music.
      Yasumi Matsuno design.
      Hironobu Sakaguchi lead producer.
      Do it !

  4. At this point they have to give us details about Versus XIII / XV if they want to save their face. I also wouldn’t rule out a PS4 version of FFXIV .

  5. The format they put together for Versus works. I hope they’ve stuck to that because in the past decade there’s only been one good new Final Fantasy title and that was X.

  6. I’m guessing FF15 will be announced as well as a status update on FFXHD. They had better not annouce any FF titles that are exclusive to mobiles as RPGs are not suited to that platform due to the very nature of RPGs.

  7. anybody who’s good with time zones know when that is uk time? ^_^

times zones and acronyms, two things i suck at. :(

    • Add 7 hours for LA to UK, so 4pm Tuesday afternoon

  8. Maybe we’ll get to see the Agnis Philosophy demo again?
