Leaked Image Shows GTA V’s Map

An image in a thread on Reddit appears to show a full colour version of Grand Theft Auto V’s map, possibly taken from a strategy guide, complete with points of interest.

It seems as though there’s a lot of empty space in comparison to the size of the city, which is quite interesting. Let’s hope that Los Santos and Blaine County manages to feel alive and bustling rather than a bit of a wasteland.

GTA V releases in one week, on September 17th, for PS3 and Xbox 360. If you want the game but can’t quite justify parting with your money, then we might have something for you later today.

Update: Rockstar requested that the image be removed from TSA, and we complied.

  1. Do I look or no?

  2. that’s one big map!

  3. I wonder if the points of interest are shops and stuff in which case it makes sense that the countryside has fewer

  4. I’m looking forward to a drive along the coasts just to take all the island in.

  5. I think it will be a welcome change having more countryside than city after GTA IV.

    • Couldn’t agree more. I missed that from earlier versions. There was a lot of fun to be had, stealing an SUV and hammering it around the countryside. Like a Deep South version of Police, Camera, Action!

      • Plus, tractors are back!

Time to go on a tractor spree in the city!

  6. Lots of green. I just hope there’s plenty to do there. I trust Rockstar that there is.

  7. That lake is called a sea… BIG PUDDLE! Can’t wait to go exploring on a Sanchez next week! :D Hopefully you can turn the Sanchez into a Supermoto bike!

    • I emailed them about putting Supermoto customisation in the game! Really hope they do! Haven’t long sold my CRF450 Supermoto aswell so it would be nice to play in game!

      • Nothing better than a (slightly) grippier dirt bike for the road which is a little bit of a handful when off road. Seeing pictures of Valentino Rossi on his Supermoto Yamaha has made me want one so much. :P

  8. Hard to get a true sense of, but if you look at the size of the airport you can see how massive it is.

  9. Blimey, the city is about a fifth of the whole map. Mental.

  10. So how big is the Urban City? Bigger or smaller then GTA IV?

    • From what I understand, its bigger… dont know how much bigger though
