PS4 And Accessory Retail Boxes Revealed

The PlayStation Europe Community Manager Chris Owen has shared some pictures of what the PlayStation 4 retail boxes will look like via twitter, including photos of the packaging for controllers, the camera, stands and the PS4 box itself, as you’ll see them in stores.

There’s the solus PS4 box above, but in the gallery below you can see the other individual boxes. There isn’t much else to say really, so without further ado:

  1. Nice! I have the console (non-bundle), vertical stand and charging station all ordered! Not long now!!

    I usually go for a coloured controller when buying a second one, but I’m not sure I like either the blue or red.

    I don’t like the blue and red DS4’s mind, black seems to suit it best.

  4. Question for those pre-ordering with Amazon. I have been emailed the option to bundle up and noticed the following bundle:
    Watch Dogs Bundle (Sony PlayStation 4 + Watch Dogs + 1 x Sony PlayStation DualShock 4) – £389 .00

    Does anyone know if this is the PS4 (with pre-packed controller) AND an additional controller and game for £389? (aewsome deal if it is!) Otherwise if it’s just 1 controller with PS4 Plus game for £389 its not really much of a saving really.

    Any ideas?

    • I believe it’s just one controller total. I preordered with amazon so had to do the same thing and at the bottom of that page there were some small pictures of the bundles.

    • At that price I would say 1 DS4. If it was two it would probably say 2X DS4.

    • If it’s a Sony bundle version then I think that’s just a single controller. If it’s a separate bundle done by Amazon then I would think its two controllers – although I think this unlikely with the price.

      I agree the saving’s aren’t great, I was offered a PS4 + Killzone + extra controller for just £3 less than it would cost to buy them individually….yet the “Mega” bundle (with camera) is a large saving.

    • what it says is what it’s the bundle. So x1 Controller means 1 controller in the box.

      I’ve ordered the Killzone Mega Bundle which states x2 controllers.

      • Thanks people. Think I’ll just get the console. May as well wait for reviews on here before deciding which release game to buy (can only afford one!) – no point in rushing in with a decision.

    • Its just the one controller sadly and I agree its not much of a saving.

  5. I’ve got the mega bundle with Killzone SF/camera/2 controllers. Thats everything I’ll ever buy for it I think, so thats me sorted. Packaging looks good and actually I’m liking the colour of the blue Dualshock now, I hated both the red and blue at first. I still think black looks the nicest though.

      I may consider getting the charging station, just because, but I’ll probable never get round to it.
      The Killzone mega-bundle pretty much meets my needs and more

  6. Think most people don’t like the colour controllers but it reminds me of the good old N64 days and always wanting to use my single red controller over the grey ones. No-one else was allowed it as I was so attached to it :-)

    Does anyone know if these bundles nowadays include the retail games/accessories mentioned in their proper packaging. Or are they likely to be included inside the main PS4 box in some plain clear cases?

    Reason I ask is for possible selling on and such at later dates that’s all?

    • Well my experience with past bundles is they contain the game in it’s retail packaging, but where the barcode usually is on the back it often says not for re-sale but I have had exceptions.

  9. Just PS4 for me. Not had any bundle offer upgrade emails from Shopto, and tbh, none of them seem that great anyway. Will just get a couple of games separately off Amazon or something.

  10. Killzone Mega Bundle for me. 1st console I’ve ever bought at launch. Quite excited!

    • 3rd I believe Dreamcast,PS3,PS4 definatley but maybe bought 360 day of release unsure followed by a further 2 or 3 360’s :D
