Skullgirls Encore Bringing The Fight To PS4 & Vita Later This Year

Skullgirls

At the end of 2013 the original Skullgirls was removed from sale on PSN and XBLA after a publishing deal with Konami ended. This prompted Lab Zero Games to develop an updated version called Skullgirls Encore, which was available for free to all those who had purchased it. Now Lab Zero has confirmed that the fighter will be releasing on PS4 and PS Vita later this year.

This release will include all the DLC stages, characters and the story, which were possible due to Indiegogo funding. There will also be All Play multiplayer lobbies, though not much detail was given on those. The PS Vita version will also be compatible with PlayStation TV, which will allow for local multiplayer using either DS3 or DS4 control pads.

The team is also working on creating new characters for the game including Robo Fortune and Beowulf, which will come in a separate update.
