Psyonix is currently running a closed beta for upcoming title Rocket League which is set to end tomorrow, bringing down the lights in the rocket car football arena. But that silence will last for just a few weeks as Psyonix has confirmed via a promotional email that there will be a second beta in just a few weeks, though whether that will also be closed or open remains to be seen.
The good news is that we’ll be holding a SECOND ROUND of Beta Tests in just a few weeks. In that new, upcoming beta, we will continue matchmaking and server tests in addition to a handful of new features. We’ll have more details and dates as we make the approach.
This could mean beta sign ups will open up again, so if you haven’t experienced Rocket League you still have a chance before release. It is unclear whether current beta entrants will have access in this second test. You can read up on Jim’s impressions of what he has played so far here. My own impression of the beta echoes what Jim has wrote, because Rocket League is very fun.
