The Creative Director of Netherrealm Studios Ed Boon has posted an image on Twitter that suggests that the upcoming DC superhero fighting game Injustice 2 will be releasing on May 16th. The image is nothing more than “i2” followed by the date on a black background. Injustice 2 was announced back in June with a trailer that confirmed characters such as Aquaman, Superman, Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman and Supergirl. A little while later there was the announcement that Blue Beetle was joining the roster, but there hasn’t been much information since.
Injustice 2 will feature a new Gear System which allows players to customise the characters with different character specific gear which boosts their attributes, giving different advantages in a fight.
