Report: The Nintendo Switch Has Outsold The Lifetime Sales Of Xbox One In Spain

A report by Gamereactor Spain has revealed that the Nintendo Switch has sold more units in ten months than the Xbox One has over it’s entire lifetime of fifty months.

Switch raced in to the lead over the Christmas period with the Spanish preferring Nintendo’s offering to the enhanced Xbox One X. Sales are said to be in excess of 300,000 units.

Spain is traditionally more fond of handheld consoles so Nintendo always does well, but the good news for Sony is the PS4 has outsold the popular 3DS in the region with sales in excess of two million and racing towards three million, the lifetime sales of PS3.

The Switch has recently become the fastest selling console of all time in the United States and broke the sales record of the PS2 in Japan.

  1. Articles like this just come across as blatant fanboyism. Knew it was a tc article right away.

    • Did you cry yourself to sleep last night?

Show us on the doll where Sony touched you….

    • How on earth is reporting facts “fanboyism”? Just because it’s not in favour of your preferred console?

      Grow up.

      Lol BossHog!

  2. Can’t argue with facts now :D

Although the combined number of people playing current gen consoles in Spain seems rather low. What’s wrong with them?

  3. This is a bit like the movies that are “the highest grossing animated movie released on a Wednesday in April” ?

On a more serious note I’m really pleased the Switch is doing well as it looks like a great bit of kit. I keep trying to justify buying one but can’t quite do it at the moment.
