Today’s Innerbits Blog confirms what we were all hoping for: Next-gen rumble is finally coming to the PS3. Various developers already have the controllers, and an unveiling is almost certain to happen at Leipzig this month. Here’s hoping that games already released will receive timely patches to enable this new tactile technology, especially for titles like Motorstorm and Resistance.
Sony are also now phasing out the first iteration of the Sixaxis with an improved (although still shock-less) motion sensor with less of a dead zone. This will be done silently, and probably starting with the Motorstorm 80gb version over in the States.
