There’s no way we’ve got the resources to add every single screenshot, trailer and press release from yesterday’s Sony E3 conference, and there’s really no need to either when others have done a perfectly good job instead.
So, if you can’t be bothered trailing through all the Sony fansites this morning, here’s everything you need to know:
Developed by Guerilla Games, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Killzone™ 2 is the highly anticipated first-person shooter created exclusively for the PLAYSTATION®3 system. Following events and action from the original Killzone for PlayStation®2, Killzone 2 brings players into a highly detailed, ultra-realistic “theater of war” that truly leverages the processing power of the PS3.
Throughout the campaign, players will encounter lifelike and adaptable artificial intelligence (A.I.) from enemies as well as fellow soldiers, destructible environments, and stunningly detailed scenery. Additionally, players will be tasked with utilizing a host of new weapons and vehicles in the war to stop the Helghast. Featuring an extensive single-player campaign and thrilling multi-player mode, Killzone 2 delivers a host of new gameplay elements and an intense storyline that will once again drive gamers to join the ranks of the ISA and fight the Helghast…this time on the enemy’s home planet.

The PAIN expansion pack is more PAINful than ever! This time, we are leaving Downtown and headed to the AMUSEMENT PARK! New to PAIN is online multiplayer mode play and 5 crazy modes to enjoy. The AMUSEMENT PARK still has the same creative, skill-driven comedic experience that presents players with the unique opportunity to control and capture the irreverent style of humor found in slapstick movies and online video clips. But now you are in a whole new PAIN-filled environment!
The Amusement Park keeps the same core, unique PAIN mechanic which allows the player to load characters into an extreme launching device, (this time a broken ride). Fire the character through physics controlled environments such as the “Tilt-a-Hurl, Deuces Wild, and Booty of the Sea”.
Receive points by stringing together PAINful collisions and inducing chaos in the environment. The player must achieve a wide variety of goals and / or reach various scoring milestones in each of the different modes of play. As challenging as it is funny, PAIN includes online leaderboards and has trophy support so you can see where you rank between your friends and throughout the world.

MotorStorm 2: Pacific Rift
The most brutal offroad racing festival is back, with players once again descending on the wild and alternative MotorStorm Festival. However, this time the location has changed dramatically, with players attempting to tackle the diversity and unpredictability of a remote Pacific island environment. Developed by Evolution Studios exclusively for PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™), MotorStorm™ Pacific Rift revisits the intense racing action introduced in last year’s MotorStorm™, this time allowing players to navigate a radically different tropical environment chock full of lush jungle, towering peaks, and crystal-clear water.
Once again participants in the MotorStorm Festival will throw traditional offroad driving and caution to the wind where the goal is to not only win, but to survive. Players will take on a variety of racing fanatics and battle through chaotic, action-packed tracks in an effort to become the Festival champ.
Evolution Studios has once again created the ultimate visceral racing experience, incorporating even smarter and more aggressive artificial intelligence (AI), real-time track deformation, fully destructible vehicles and environments, and stunningly detailed scenery. In addition to the classic MotorStorm gameplay, players will also experience more available tracks and vehicles to choose, as well as extensive multiplayer options including four player split screen and races with expanded online action.

Developed by Media Molecule, LittleBigPlanet™ is a new PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) computer entertainment system community-based game with a hugely innovative concept behind it. Players meet on a blue and green planet scattered with individual plots – and use their character’s amazing abilities to play, create and share what they build with other users throughout the world via PLAYSTATION®Network.
The LittleBigPlanet experience starts with players learning about their character’s powers to interact physically with the environment. There are places to explore, creative resources to collect and puzzles to solve – all requiring a combination of brains and collaborative teamwork. As soon as players begin their creative skills will grow and they will soon be ready to start creating and modifying their surroundings – the first step to sharing them with the online community.
Characters have the power to move anything in this glued and stitched-together 3D landscape; they have the power to design, shape and build both objects and entire locations for others to view and play. There is no complicated level editor; all of these skills can be learned by simply playing the game. Creativity is central to the gameplay experience and playing is part of the creative experience. Players can make their world as open or as secretive to explore as they like. When it is ready, they can invite anyone within the LittleBigPlanet community to come and explore their patch – or can go and explore everybody else’s.
Frantic and fun, Fat Princess pits two hordes of players against each other in comic medieval battle royale. Your goal is to rescue your beloved princess from the enemy dungeon. There’s a catch though: your adversary has been stuffing her with food to fatten her up and it’s going to take most of your army working together to carry her back across the battlefield.
You can switch between five different character classes literally at the drop of a hat: the fearless Warrior, the steadfast Archer, the mystical Mage, the tireless Worker, and the deadly Priest. In order to triumph, players must combine their skills and work together. The name of the game is cooperation, whether it’s helping another player drag a log back to your castle, manning a battering ram to smash through the enemy’s front gate, or building a human pyramid to scramble over the walls.

God of War III
- VIDEO: The prerendered trailer.
The pioneers that brought you the award-winning PLAYSTATION Network title flOw are back with another concept that challenges traditional gaming conventions. Flower expands the team’s tradition of delivering simple gameplay, accessible controls and a medium to explore emotional chords uncommon in video games. In Flower, the surrounding environment, most often pushed to the background in games, is pulled to the forefront and becomes the primary “character.” The player fades from an external and stressful world in the opening of this fresh and genuine game only for PS3, and journeys through beautifully vivid landscapes, changing the his surroundings and exploring nature along the way.
Playing as the wind, the player guides and grows a swarm of pedals by interacting with other flowers and the surrounding environment. The goals and journey in each level vary, but all involve flight, exploration and interaction with the level. Using simple SIXAXIS wireless controls, the player guides the lead petal and accumulates a swarm of flower petals as he moves at his own pace within the environment, causing the on-screen world to change. Flower’s gameplay offers different experiences, pacing and rhythm to all players. Along the way, the environment will pose challenges to the player’s progress.
Both pastoral and at times chaotic, Flower is a visual, audio and interactive escape on PS3.

Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty
The heroic lombax, Ratchet, returns this fall in an all-new adventure with Ratchet & Clank® Future: Quest for Booty exclusively for PLAYSTATION®3 via PLAYSTATION®Network. A stand-alone adventure for both fans and newcomers to the franchise, Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty offers up to four hours of gameplay in Ratchet and Clank’s debut on the PLAYSTATION Network. With all new wrench mechanics and light and dark illumination puzzles, Ratchet must manipulate objects and use his wits in order to succeed in his quest. New pirate-themed puzzles in four exotic locations will have gamers interacting with townspeople, manipulating shadows and playing pirate tunes, and mixing pirate brew to find hidden treasures.
Developed by highly-acclaimed independent developer Insomniac Games, Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty finds Ratchet in a desperate search for Clank after the intense ending of Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction®. After an unfortunate turn of events, Ratchet washes up on the shores of a small village where he must overcome life-threatening challenges, encounter new alien races and even form an alliance with dreaded Captain Slag’s first mate, Rusty Pete. Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty is Insomniacs third title for PS3 following its hugely successful Resistance: Fall of Man® and Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction.
A massive explosion rips through six square blocks of Empire City, leveling everything and everyone in its path. At the center of the blast crater a lone man has survived the event and has been changed forever. From the creators of the award-winning Sly Cooper series, Sucker Punch brings you inFamous, the first open-world action-adventure title exclusively for the PLAYSTATION®3 system.
Players will experience what happens when a real person suddenly starts developing super powers. Will they exact revenge, protect the innocent or do little of both? These are the situations gamers will face when immersed inside a richly interactive and organic living city. A place where actions create broader reactions in the citizens and landscape around them. inFamous lets players unravel an evolving mystery, experience fame and/or infamy and battle powerful, iconic villains…all the while feeling what it is like to become a modern day superhero.
