No matter how many times you read it, aloud or to yourself, Qriocity, a newly trademarked service, still sounds terrible. The trademark, dug up over the weekend, appears to relate to “portable gaming machines” and “game services provided on-line from a computer network”. A bit like the PSN, then, but spelt worse.
To be honest, it sounds more like the Cloud thing Sony was banding around at the beginning on 2009 given the wide spectrum of the trademark. This isn’t the first time Sony have abused the letter Q like this (Qore, anyone) but I’m interested to find out what they’re going to do with the domain name.
