Hideo Kojima has been using Twitter to talk up his latest PSP title, Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker.
It’s no secret that Kojima seems to consider Peacewalker as the sequel to MGS4, after all a recently leaked logo showing it as the sequel said as much, so to see him speaking of the games quality comes as no surprise.
Speaking on the social site Kojima said,
It’s difficult to show the interest and freshness of PW through video. Cameron’s Avatar was a huge hit because of the 3D video. That can’t be communicated through text and a trailer. It’s something you won’t understand unless you experience it for yourself in the theater.
He later added that,
It’s not that PSP is the main platform for the future MGS series. PW is a test to see what type of expansions are there if MGS is brought to a portable. We’re not just rising vertically with development on next generation systems, but also horizontally, trying to expand gameplay.
MGS: Peacewalker is due for release exclusively to PSP on 27th May this year and if Mr Kojima’s word is anything to go by then it’s going to be some game.
