News just flying through the ether from Warner Bros. is that their upcoming game, Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest, will feature support for “PlayStation’s Upcoming Motion Controller Technology”. Or the “Move” as we’re now allowed to call it publicly.
LotR: Aragorn’s Quest is being billed as an action adventure game based on the films and literature. Sounds like there will be some hacking and slashing via the Move which Warner Bros. are saying will allow them to “instantly and accurately” translate your movements into weapon strikes in the game. From what we’ve seen so far of the Move it seems like a match made in Mordor for fans of the LotR mythology and arm-swinging video-gaming fun.
It will also feature the vocal talents of Sean Astin who was Samwise (but more importantly, he was Mikey in The Goonies) and John Rhys-Davies who was Gimli in the LotR trilogy but was also Sallah in Indiana Jones.
The game is being announced for this Autumn and will be released on the PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii and DS. No love for the Xbox 360 then?
