4 More Depart Infinity Ward

This is practically a story which writes itself, all we need to do is edit the names, rinse and repeat! Anyway, you know the drill – Infinity Ward’s studio heads had a big falling out with their bosses at Activision which resulted in them leaving, they were followed out the door by a few other high level staff members. They later set-up a new development studio called Respawn Entertainment in a partnership with EA, and then quite a few more staff members left.

Originally they appeared to be free agents, but as we reported earlier on today the majority of those who left IW, have joined Zampella and West at Respawn. Activision aren’t just idly looking on from the sidelines as yesterday, news emerged that the huge bonuses that were due to be paid to the Infinity Ward team is still on offer to anyone who remains this means as each person leaves the bonus share increases for those that are left. You might think that would slow down the exodus, but you’d be wrong!

Kotaku are reporting that four more senior staffers have today left Infinity Ward, the latest name call reads “Senior designers Mohammad Alavi and Chad Grenier are out, along with programmer Chris Lambert and designer Jason McCord” and go on to say that 17 people have now left in total.

A few articles ago, I wrote “Will the last person to leave please turn off the lights and cancel the milk!” it can’t be too much longer until that becomes a reality, either that or Activision will be asking the cleaner if they know how to use Maya.
