PSN Wallet Issue Under Investigation

An issue with updating users’ PSN wallets has been identified by Sony. To remedy the glitch, the PSN may need to be taken down momentarily. Responding on Twitter to PlayStation fans’ dismay at not being able to add funds to their virtual wallets, the official European account tweeted:

“We are aware of the issue regarding topping up wallets on PSN. We are doing everything to resolve this issue asap.”

Thirty minutes later the following update was communicated:

“We are currently testing a fix. If this works, service will resume as normal very soon. We may need to take PSN down for a few minutes.”

You can bet your bottom dollar that any issue preventing people sending money to Sony is being strenuously investigated by the company. Unlike, you know, when the the PSN got sucked into a time vortex for a day and Sony’s engineers just sat around waiting for the clock to strike twelve like a bunch of digital Cinderellas. That’s a joke by the way. We’re sure they got a few rounds of Halo in at the time.

It has been confirmed that this issue is only affecting users in Europe.
