We’ve already discussed much of it, but VG247 are reporting that PSN Premium will be announced at E3 and will cost ‘less than £50 a year.
The service, they say, will include a music application similar to Spotify which ‘can run in the background whilst playing games’ and everyone who signs up will get a free PSN each month from a choice of 2-4 games each month. Nothing will be removed from the current PSN service to go in to the Premium package.
This is all rumour of course, I particularly find the ‘music while you play games’ claim highly dubious, only a few games support custom playlists and I cannot see how they can include this feature unless they do something to mute all audio from a game.
VG247 also claim ‘Rumours that cross-game voice chat is being saved as a paid feature are apparently not true.’ “I can tell you now, 100 percent, that that’s not the case,” our man continued.’
As we said, all rumours and speculation but recently a member of TSA waited in a dark alley all night until finally a mysterious cloaked figure appeared and hissed, “Cross game chat is a premium feature.”
But that’s a rumour and if you find me hanging around any other dark alleys then it’s for an entirely different reason, OK? Don’t come and ask me about what ‘services’ I offer else you’ll get a shock.
