PSN+ Rears Its Head Again

Joystiq are today claiming that the premium service everyone thought was called Premium will be called PSN+, a name eerily similar to the PlayStationPlus domain registrations we picked out back in March.

And whilst the report doesn’t really bring anything new to the table that TheSixthAxis (and VG247) haven’t already pointed out, their source does appear to echo what we’ve been hearing from elsewhere.

Namely: access to PSP Minis, exclusive in-game DLC, console protection, cross game chat and – oh – background patch downloading.  Joystiq claim the service will cost PlayStation 3 users $9.99 a month.

We’ve fired off an email to Sony to see if they’re listening.
