The “What will Kinect cost?” merry-go-round continues a-spinning, with retailer ShopTo quoting their RRP for Microsoft’s new room-destroyer at a princely £129.99 in the UK. A release date is also quoted – November 19th. Officially the device’s price is still under consideration, but it’s looking highly likely that the $149.99 US figure (also still to be ratified by Microsoft) will not be translating into a sub £100 comparative amount in the UK. Can’t wait for the euro equivalent.
What say you? Too high? Just right for the technology on offer? Are UK gamers getting ripped off based on current currency exchange rates? Have your say in the comments. It will make you feel better.

You know what, it probably will be 129 quid and yes it will still sell brilliantly.
You only have to look (or listen) to the hyperbole surrounding it and the general casual consumer. They expect all this stuff to happen with it.
MS will market this thing everywhere. And it’ll sell. More than Move. See I could be an analyst. Its not hard! lol
MrTwP
ouch, have you seen the games price as well… £40-50. maybe casual means higher class in microsoft talk.

You can buy a Wii for that. If I were a casual gamer, I know which one I would go for. This is /far/ too expensive for what it is.

Um, wait. Isn’t this the price of a 360 Arcade? :S

Overpriced and doomed to fail.

Has no1 ever heard of “The trials of Topoq” or “Mesmerize” for the PS3? Where you stand in front of your PS eye and wave your hands about like a div! (No controller) These games came out well over 3yrs ago. Yes they are crap but for £4 (£25 PS eye)you cant grumble. Sony has been doing it for yrs and dont bring them out any more cos nobody wants 2 play them. So if any xbox fanboy can name me ANY game where the person you are controlling has nothing in their hand please let me know??? £130. I tel ya! Biggest waste of money since the world was cursed with RROD! Laggy Kinect. lol

Agreed I think this will flop big time

I only paid £110 for my console, its wierd when an accessory is more expensive.
