inFamous 2 might have been skipped over at E3, but Sony haven’t even started yet. Well, they have, because this three minute gameplay trailer has just appeared, but – well, you know.
I wasn’t the first game’s biggest fan but this looks wonderful – totally digging the high speed chase and the improved free running aspects and bigger, badder weapons seem to look like great fun.
The game’s out in 2011.

Every single piece of media I’m seeing of this new found marketability is really grinding my gears. lets be honest, this is what this shit is. It’s to make him more appealing. It’s not artistic freedom or anything at work here, someone not involved in the creative process thought they needed to tone down the edginess of Cole somewhat.
I dont think i can suppor this at all. Infamous was a fantastic and phenomonal game, maybe precisely because so few people worked on it. This kindof thing didnt happen. Maybe Like transformers I’ll just ignore everything else and cherish the original

I sort of agree and prefer the grittiness of the original but I have no doubt this will be fantastic if the 1st one was anything to go by.
I’ve almost platinumed the 1st one too, all I need is one more gold trophy!!!

The only thing I don’t like is the bloody monsters and maybe the melee combat…but the monsters…meh…

It looks like they sat down and played Prototype when designing this! Bladed monsters – check, Helicopter’s – check, Quick run up walls – check. As silly as the new Cole is, I wasn’t a big fan of the old one either and this looks to be a massive improvement over the original game, which got quite stale in my opinion. I was scoffing a bit when I saw the comments thinking it can’t be that good! But that is one fine trailer. Mmmhmm.

That’s very impressive looking. Very quick paced and smooth running for an open world actioner. You can clearly see Sucker Punch have been taking notes from Uncharted 2 as well. No bad thing.
I’m guessing the new look and voice on “Cole” is going to be down to some sort of MGS2 style twist at the start where you control a different guy from the first game. Why he’s still called Cole I couldn’t guess, but I’m calling it: Not the same main character as the first game.

i loved the first infamous,was pleasantly surprised at the game when i got it,way more game than i thought it would be,so i cant wait for infamous 2.
