God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta Gameplay Video

Violence, anguish, despair – these are things we now come to expect from the God of War franchise, and Ready at Dawn doesn’t look like it is set to buck the trend.

The latest video – named ‘Midas Moment’ – shows that lovable ruffian (or not) Kratos dragging King Midas to his death.  Ten additional TSA points are awarded for actually showing nail marks on the ground.

Ready at Dawn had the following to say;

“We’re calling this footage the “Midas Moment” since is shows Kratos’ battle against King Midas. It really showcases the living/breathing world with the environment completely fleshed out with people reacting to Kratos’ presence and every action.

The terrain is volcanic with lava all around providing a great glimpse into another part of the world Kratos will explore in Ghost of Sparta and another example of the breathtaking art found in the game.

This scene also shows off a more immersive “in your face” battle with up-close and personal brutality. It cinematically presents the brutal, bulldozing force that Kratos exerts to obliterate each and every obstacle in his path (think Poseidon kill in GoWIII).

And with the inclusion of King Midas, it seamlessly integrates another popular character from Greek mythology into the GoW universe.”

Check it out for yourself;

Graphically it’s looking like Sony’s boast about God of War: Ghost of Sparta being the best looking PSP game is well founded.  Other than that it seems like business as usual in terms of weapon wielding, head cracking and dog kicking.

  5. Yeah, I don’t see the need for a PSP2 any time soon. Ready At Dawn is showing what every PSP developer CAN accomplish.

    • God of War on the PsP is as good as the PsP can get, graphic wise.

      its clear that a PsP2 will be necirsary soon if Sony want to make more unique gamrd that dont have to be console limit breaking
