Whether you actually consider Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s ‘map packs’ to be worthy of that title, given that they just make the same maps playable in new modes and configurations, rather than offering any new environments, EA are today releasing the ‘VIP Map Pack 5’.
This time around, you’ll be getting to play White Pass in Rush mode, and Nelson Bay is unlocked for play in Conquest. Naturally, the pack is free for those who have purchased the game new, whilst those who grabbed it second hand, are borrowing it from a friend, or stole it from their local GameStation will have to shell out for a VIP pass.
Such a pass can be picked up in-game or via each console’s storefront, and will grant you access to each of the five packs released for the game so far.

I agree, I got bored a while back, stopped playing and recently started again, trying new guns/tactics and having fun and I have to admit, it’s brought so much more fun to the game. When you look at the game from a fun point of view, it’s excellent.
I don’t agree these Map Packs should be treated as new maps though, it’s a RIP off DICE/EA are trying to sell this as free content. They should bring out some actual new maps.

Agree with that Bilbo. Still play BC2 a lot, and looking forward to white pass rush mode, but would love some new maps/weapons to kep me going until MOH/COD:BO. Anyone know when the “Vietnam” add on is due for release?

Just had a month long break myself Bilbo and it was great to comeback last week to find there was a Rush mode for Atacama and conquest for White Pass . At last i can enjoy Atacama without all those annoying idiots on Conquest Atacama going around and around and around in apaches ruining the fun .
Im going to give the 2 new remakes a go tonight , maybe I’ll see you on there . I dont think i managed to ever get your tags though ! (i will check in a bit) .
I agree wholeheartedly about these not being new maps and have said on countless forums that they could have made themselves a fortune had they had some new maps ready to sell before launch . I know technically thats a little sneaky but I would have gladly payed a tenner for 3 new maps (with access to both rush and conquest on them !) in fact i would have bought another by this stage if Dice had released them so thats £20 extra from a hell of a lot of people .
Someones head should roll for switching DICE onto MoH multiplayer .

I highly recommend it.
Had loads of fun online getting to rank 22 [for the trophy]. It’s far more interesting than COD:MW2 online, but the story is a bit disappointing – not as thrilling or funny as the first.

Topgearsam and YogDog used to arrange one for Sundays at 7pm. Think it’s died a death recently (since TG has been back on TV strangely).
Would like to see another arranged, we need to find ou what time suits a few guys and get it together.

It’s a shame how EA/DICE is deceiving everybody.
These maps were in the BD I bought some months ago.
They are unlocking them now, so they’re neither free nor a present for the community.
