Create Your Own Villager In Fable III

Lionhead and Microsoft have revealed a ‘Villager Maker’ for Fable III.  Essentially this pre-release tool will allow you to create your own personalized character and import into the game.

The creator will allow you to pick your character’s sex and name before you answer eight questions to decide its personality, followed by deciding its clothing.  This creation can then be  shared on Facebook and Twitter, as well as your computer’s desktop.

Anyone can design a villager, but to actually get them into the game, you’ll need to pre-order Fable III and get a redemption code.

Lionhead has released a video of how it works, which you can watch below – although when I tried it I got shouted at for not having Silverlight installed.

  1. all my villagers would be Alastair from Dragon Age. So i could kill him over and over and over…

  2. That’s pretty cool I guess, though I was more impressed by Silverlight than the editor. Didn’t know it could display 3D that well, at such a high framerate.

Game footage looked nicer than I was expecting, haven’t actually seen much of Fable 3 so far.

    • i never bothered installing silverlight before, but had to give this a try.
it would be nice if you could customise your character for the actual game like that

      • as Molyneux promised for the original game? ;)

      • Going in pre-release from you’ll all be able to create your own customisable, unique characters, which you will take into the online game, to – you’ll all look the same, bar clothes and haircuts and you can whistle for online, you’re not getting it – in time for release.

For the record I adored Fable though :)

  3. wow thats good, a village with people you might actually like

  4. As much as I loved Fable:TLC, I have a strong feeling that this is gonna flop, hard.
