Lionhead have released the opening cinematic for their upcoming action RPG, Fable III. This one exhibits the trademark humour that permeates the entire series as well as showing off the new industrial stylings they’ve given to Albion.
You might also want to think twice about all that chicken-kicking you’ve been doing in Fable II…

Do the stories link together in the Fable games or are they separate? I ask as im tempted to get Fable 3 but have not played the first two..

you dont have to have played the first two games, i don’t think the stories are really connected.
you do get to revisit a couple of locations from the first game in fable 2 but they’re very different from what they used to be, maybe there’ll be some recognisable places from the first two games in fable 3.
it’s not essential to know about them they’re more to link the new games to the old ones for people who have played them all, so it doesn’t feel like a whole new world.
and there is one direct link to the previous games in fable 3, but if you haven’t played the first game it would be a bit of a spoiler.
anyway, you don’t need to have played the first two.
but i’d reccomend playing them at some point, if only for the fact they’re actually pretty good games in their own right.
