Ninja Theory have launched a series of developer diaries allowing us to peek behind the scenes of their forthcoming title, Enslaved: Odyssey To The West.
The first episode talks about the character development and how the introduction of Alex Garland (the writer of The Beach, 28 Days Later and Sunshine) has not only enhanced the story, but also changed the way characters interact and gameplay.
Enslaved is set for release on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 8th.

Was it just me or did the audio go massively out of sync half way through that?
No matter. The game’s looking pretty lovely. You can tell it’s based off NT’s engine they made for Heavenly Sword, which itself was all shiny and pretty :)
Also quite enjoyed hearing some HS music in the background as placeholder music, hehe..
So, looking good, and I think I’ll probably be getting this.

i know first thing i noticed was the beloved heavenly sword soundtrack which by the way needs trophy support

Working sound on this one if Chris is around to swap out the vids.

Great Dev Diary and fascinating (as always) to see how the game is constructed in character/literal/worldly terms.

I see they’ve tied her hair up to prevent it taking up a whole spe this time around ;)
I’m not getting the same wow factor from this as i got from HS but time and a hands-on will tell.

This looks like Heavenly Sword + Jak & Daxter :]
Spabbage
It looks like the female character(cant remember her name) is ripped straight out of heavenly sword.

exactly

This just looks like a blatant rip-off of Uncharted 2 and God of War III.
Even this interview thing is a rip-off of how the U2 ones looked!
