Capcom have just finished their press conference in Tokyo, and like many before them they have tried to hold something “special” back for a final announcement. That announcement was a new Devil May Cry. The next instalment of the franchise will focus on a younger Dante but the game wasn’t announced as Devil May Cry 5, the trailer simply called the game DMC Devil May Cry.
Ninja Theory are working on the game with Capcom which Ninja Theory director Tameem Antoniades described as a “rebirth of Devil May Cry”. He added that they were “hoping to make a game that even Capcom can be proud of.” Hideaki Itsuno took to the stage to speak about how the two companies are working together. “We’re essentially co-directing the game,” Itsuno went on to explain that they are attempting to combine “the best of east and west.” There was no indication yet as to when the game would see a release.
