Capcom have just finished their press conference in Tokyo, and like many before them they have tried to hold something “special” back for a final announcement. That announcement was a new Devil May Cry. The next instalment of the franchise will focus on a younger Dante but the game wasn’t announced as Devil May Cry 5, the trailer simply called the game DMC Devil May Cry.
Ninja Theory are working on the game with Capcom which Ninja Theory director Tameem Antoniades described as a “rebirth of Devil May Cry”. He added that they were “hoping to make a game that even Capcom can be proud of.” Hideaki Itsuno took to the stage to speak about how the two companies are working together. “We’re essentially co-directing the game,” Itsuno went on to explain that they are attempting to combine “the best of east and west.” There was no indication yet as to when the game would see a release.

I can’t help but feel this franchise is stagnating very quickly. They’re going to have to pull some magic out of the wizard’s sleeve on this one or it’ll be more ‘afterbirth’ than ‘rebirth’.

I am a MASSIVELY HUGE fan of DMC and I loved 1, 2, 3, Special Ed 3 and 4. Yes you read right, the story of 2 sucked but i still loved the world.
3 was awesome with the new fighting styles and 1 was the pinnacle. Fighting Mundus, running down those gothic corridors….
I hear they are gonna give this game a western feel a’ la Resi 5 esque…
Please CAPCOM dont ruin DMC 5….

i have just watched the trailer and that is not devil may cry. where dante? the real dante with white hair and show off. and the voice wtf get the guy who voiced in 3 &4. why does it look like twilght may cry. they better not fuck up dmc just to please some racist 10 year old cod player.
