Enslaved Gets Third Developer Diary

There is a lot of buzz currently surrounding ‘Enslaved: Odyssey To The West.’  Those who have played it have really enjoyed it, and with the October release date fast approaching Ninja Theory have released another developer diary to give you an insight into the world of Trip and Monkey.

This diary is called ‘Visualizing the Terrain’ – and as you can imagine it’s all about the stunning environments the duo will find themselves in during the course of the game.

  1. I loved the demo of this game, before i played it i heard a lot of uncharted comparisons and thought “it looks nothing like uncharted” after playing the demo though i really saw why. This is a definite buy for me, my playstation’s really turning into a money trap right now!

  2. Loved the demo, going to pick this up first hint of pricedrop

  3. There was hideous screen-tear on the demo (Heavenly Sword was no different). so if this is fixed (or via a patch) in the full version, it could find it’s way into my PS3 library.

  4. I’m going to be unpopular here but i wasn’t impressed by the demo.
I hate it when your character can only jump at scripted parts of the scenery. If you try to jump while running he performs a roll or you can jump somewhat patheticly while standing still. I wasn’t keen on the grip points being highlighted – but it doesn’t even matter if you can’t see the highlight, which i couldn’t several times – the character will only jump to a safe perch so there’s no chance of falling off anyway. The visuals and combat were also disappointing from what i played. This is platforming designed by people who don’t know platforming, and combat by people who should know better imabho.
I played the Heavenly sword demo to death but i deleted this after one play.

    • @T-82…I never noticed any screen-tear!!
@TSBonyman..yeah I agree, I could literally hold down jump and not miss where I was wanting to jump too..

Saying that it is still an awesome demo..

  5. tried the demo yesterday, i thought it was great, still wont be paying full price for this due to the amount of games i want in october through to december is just plain ridiculous

  6. I loved the demo, but I still can’t belive this game is from Ninja Theory, despite the art direction being amazing, in my humble opinion, the textures are terible. It seems like someone saw the bump mapping tool and set it to “MAX BUMP”. The 3 years old Heavenly Sword just looks so much better, in my humble opinion.

  7. cant wait for this one. buying it as soon as i can
