Rumour: Project Milo Cancelled

It has been a confusing time for those following Peter Molyneux’s Kinect game ‘Project Milo.’   It’s been called a game, then a tech demo, then definitely a game – but now it looks like it may have been cancelled.

Sources have told Eurogamer that development on Project Milo was officially stopped yesterday, and as a result nineteen contractors have lost their jobs.

The source claims that the Project Milo tech will instead be used for a “Fable themed Kinect game” – and let’s be honest that does sound pretty interesting!

So far Microsoft and Lionhead have refused to comment on the claim – Eurogamer are trying to get something out of them, and we will have a go too.  We will update this when new information emerges.

  1. I reckon the Pope took him.

    • Abstinence makes the church grow fondlers

      • Was a protest placard I saw last week ;)

  2. Yay! Must say I’m rather glad that freak-show creepfestival of unsavoury squirm inducing overhyped and over rated tat has (rumour has it) been cancelled. Let’s hear no more about it Peter. Get working on Populous for next gen (heck I’d even take a retro remake on XBLA)!

    • Yeah, Populous, Dungeon Keeper and Syndicate please Pete, chop chop. Even if you need to reacquire the licences.

  3. Nice. Kinect isn’t even out and they’re already firing people.

  4. I’m sort of hoping this is true. As much playability as a tamagotchi, but more embarrassing when he shits himself.

  5. Not surprised, it looked rubbish, doubt anyone would have bought it.

  6. only a few select people are disappointed

    • Yeah, the people that were fired!

  7. Well now there is no reason whatsoever for me to buy kinect.
