First Explodemon Trailer Released

Explosions are generally not linked to happy occasions – just ask enemies of the A-Team.  However that is set to change today as Curve Studios has released the first trailer for its upcoming side scrolling platform/puzzle game ‘Explodemon’ – which will be hitting the PSN this winter.  As you can see, the key feature is using explosions to progress through the levels.  It’s looking like Mega Man after a particularly violent curry, and definitely a game we will be keeping an eye on.

Wow that’s fun, give it a whirl !!
On a serious note this looks really good :D

  2. Are the similarities to Splosion man deliberate?

    • This seems alot better

    • exactly my thoughts, like a Slposion man rebranding for the PSN.

    • Contrary to what it says here, there was a trailer released in April of last year, so it’s probably been in development long before ‘Splosion Man came out.

      • There was a trailer – but the PR basically told us that one didn’t count.

      • I guess they’ve redone a lot of the graphics by the looks of it. Anyway, my main point was that it’s been in the works well before ‘Splosion Man man came out, so it’s probablt not a rip-off. Maybe. If their next game looks suspiciously like Comic Jumper, we’ll know there’s something fishy going on.

    • If you’re interested in how the whole Explodemon Vs. Splosion Man thing panned out, I highly recommend this developer diary:

It explains the whole “coincidence” perfectly.

  3. Reminds me a lot of Blade Kitten, are we going to get a influx of these games soon

  4. Is wit a requirement to be a writer on TSA? Like seriously, your subheadings ALWAYS make me laugh xD

    • As a matter of fact, yes, it is ;-) That and our own biscuit jar.

  5. Looks like a really fun megaman clone.
    i may get it

  6. Looks a long way away from the trailer that was shown quite some time ago. I like it!
