The Forza Motorsport 3 Ultimate Collection is due to arrive in stores at the end of October. It will feature the game, all previously released add-ons and a special code to download “Stig’s Garage Car Pack”. This new content is the first indication of a deal that Forza Motorsport and Top Gear have penned which will bring content from the worldwide hit television show to future releases in the Forza Motorsport franchise.
In addition to the Stig car pack, there will be an Xbox Live Theme and ninety minutes of “specially edited” Top Gear TV content (we assume that means jokes about truckers and hookers will be omitted…) on Xbox Live when the Ultimate Collection is released.
Stig’s Garage, in case you’re curious, contains:
- The Koenigsegg CCX
- Lexus LFA
- Mercedes Benz SLS-AMG
Time to get Forza back in the 360 then…

I’m wondering if Sony had some sort of time-exclusivity deal going on with Top Gear. Unfortunately for Sony the length of time it has taken PD to develop the game has caused this deal to expire and MS have smartly decided to affliate themselves with another big name brand.
I’m not too sure how this 90 minutes of specially editted footage would work given that the BBC owns Top Gear and cannot have it locked to Gold subscribers.

Who actually gives a shit? Forza is an awesome game. I’m glad to see more being added to it. Top Gear is great, so it being in GT5 and Forza is good news to me.

Maybe the Forza team are desperate as they know that in a months time millions will be playing GT5 and not Forza anymore.

It doesn’t really matter if each game would have some form of Top Gear content but that’s not the reason to buy Gran Turismo 5. Why do a Top Gear deal near GT? well I guess its Microsoft at there usual practices has a monopoly based business so there’s no reason to be pissed.

they will send every cod fanboy and xbox fanboy to destroy every copy of gt5

It’s standard business-fare in many circles. Take the sting out of a competitor’s launch with something that’ll distract.
Whether Sony practice such ploys or not is for their marketing department to work out. To me, Forza is a little more forgiving and light-hearted than the likes of the GT franchise so there’s room for both. Especially as they’re not multi-platform titles.
