PSN Store Update 06/10/10

Recently we’ve been treated to week after week of bumper store content and this week is no different with all the usual games, demos, trials, add-on content, Minis and importantly more special offers than anyone could possible want.

First up it’s PlayStation Plus update week, which brings with it an included copy of PSN hit Street Fighter 2 HD Remix, the Kula World PSOne Classic, full game trials of Tomb Raider Underworld and the forthcoming Ferrari The Race Experience along with Minis; Aero Racing and Yeti Sports along with a range of other content.

Elsewhere we see the release of Ferrari The Race Challenge and the DJ Hero 2 demo. PSP takes its chance to shine with the addition of a whole host of back catalogue games added to the PSP Essentials range.

  1. first

    • Has there been a slip in the space-time continuum? You seem a bit early..

  2. Bit disappointing for me this week :/

    • Have to agree, there’s not very much of interest in any of the sections =[

      • Normally I find something even if it’s just a video, but nothing for me either. Oh well looks like I will just have to keep on taking out zombies (lifts cricket bat up to shoulder).

  3. awww, i was going to call him an00bis :(

  4. Nice week for P+ then. Looking better. Modnation Racers Nathan Drake sounds good.

Loads of content this week. Keep it up Sony.

  5. if it wasnt for Playstation+ there would be nothing for me this week.

    • still no free DLC this month though

      • I thought the ps classic was meant to be syphon filter i was looking forward to that.

      • Looks like a Burn Zombie Burn T-shirt for Home is the free DLC this month :(

  6. Hmmm, tough one. The map packs for MW2 are finally a price I would be happy to pay for them, but am I going to bother getting into MW2 again with Black-Ops so close! Also, weren’t the Hunter and Trader costumes for Red Dead released already? I’m sure I have them.

    • Yes, the RDR stuff was released already … however it shouldn’t have been, it apparently wasn’t ready (SCEE cocked up again).
Also, if you installed it, you may need to delete your game data (not save data) and re-install … I’m not sure if just re-downloading and installing this version over the top would fix the supposed problems it was causing.

  7. good to see map packs at a normal price. . .

    • With a month to go until the next game is out this DLC pricedrop is MW2’s last throw of the dice.

Whatever the price though, I’m sure many people have got hundreds of hours play out of it and gained great value out of the £11 they spent.

      • I definitely feel I got my moneys worth for £11 or £22 actually

      • i know they’ll have gottne plenty out of it but it still seems just a little bit too much for so little. this is an age old argument anyway

  8. I forgot it was PS+ update week so that was a nice reminder.
Going back in time a bit so this has probably already been discussed but I tried my first Full Title Trial this week (Shatter). I got some trophies in the hour and they still show in my trophies but they have definitely not counted to my overall total. Anyone else noticed this and is that the way it is supposed to be?

    • They will unlock properly only when you buy the full game, but it means you don’t have to replay for the trophies as you would do with a normal demo/trial.

      • Ah I see. That would make sense. Cheers for that.

  9. Where is Castle Crashers? :-(

    • seconded :(

      • Bad news:

Posted on 6 October, 2010 at 1:04 pm by Mike Kebby
Castle Crashers is in QA again, unfortunately we’ve been beholden to waiting for the publisher submitting the code again. This time however it should make it through and be out in a couple of weeks (my fingers are crossed for this to happen).

So they have to start ALL OVER again.

        This means another month.

      • ah that sucks – but at least it’s coming at some point

      • hmmm now i’m serieusly thinking of getting it from the american store…

      • Why does it need QA? It’s been on the US store for a month.

  10. Thank goodness! Nothing I’m particularly interested in this week apart from the RDR content and that’s free.
