Just about everyone commenting on the last weeks “heads up” post on the EU PlayStation blog was complaining at the lack of DLC available for PlayStation Plus subscribers this month. Well SCEE appear to have heard the complaints and responded: all of the DLC for Fallout 3 will be available for PlayStation Plus subscribers to download for free this month. The first batch will be available today with the rest following on 20th October.
Note: The DLC will be available for one week only.
13 October
- Fallout 3: Point Lookout
- Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta
- Fallout 3: Operation: Anchorage
20 October
- Fallout 3: Broken Steel
- Fallout 3: The Pitt
As well as this James Gallagher also apologised for the Hustle Kings Full Trial not making onto the store last week but said it will added with this week’s update. PlayStation Plus subscribers will also be receiving an exclusive multiplayer Split/Second: Velocity demo via the automatic download feature.

Interesting. The GOTY edition was fundamentally broken, I wonder if using the DLC with the vanilla edition will make a difference. (As spoken from the point of view of a person who gave up playing the GOTY because it crashed my PS3 more than 10 times) I’m assuming that Sony are aware of how upset many Fallout 3 players started complaining about GOTY crash issues.

Have been thinking of getting the GOTY edition for ages but havent got round to it. Its now time to go back to the wastes. Thankyou Sony/Bethesda. Great news

Such a shame, my mate has just bought the DLC. I hope they start discounting new stuff soon, otherwise I don’t think this subscription is for me.

Fallout 3 is a nice enough game but I never did feal in love with it, shame really as I did like the apocalyptic setting.

Gutted, already been there with the GOTY.

For me this is great news! I own Fallout 3 (even platinumed it!) but did not buy any of the DLC.
My plus membership has been more than worth it.

am i glad i didnt purchase this already, i would be pretty pissed…
having not bought it till now, this i really good content for me, but its still pretty old stuff, so if you want to get the most out of PSN+, you pretty much have to stop byuing anything and wait if it gets a discount or will be free at a later date, which in my opinion shouldnt be the point.
i hope they start to have day 1 discounts for PSN+
(with this and sam&max though, im pretty pleased with my subscription)

Whoa – not a bad freebie at all……
