With the latest Call of Duty now less than a week away, a video has appeared online which appears to show a top-down co-op version of the game’s zombie mode.
The video, which has now been removed from YouTube “due to a copyright claim by Activision Games Inc.”, showed a top-down twin-stick shooter with power-ups that carry across from the full 3D zombies mode. Mark Lamia, head of Treyarch, previously mentioned a “nice surprise for fans” of World at War’s bonus mode back at the original announcement of zombies earlier this year. That’ll be the surprise spoilt early then.
The name “Dead Ops Arcade” appeared in the leaked achievement/trophy list from September, and now it looks like we know what it is. The regular zombie mode would probably be just “Dead Ops”.
Like you need to be reminded, Call of Duty: Black Ops will be released on PS3, 360 and PC on November 9th.
