Psychic Octopus Predicts Move to Beat Kinect

Paul the psychic octopus (of World Cup prediction fame) may be no longer with us, but his mystical cousin, Ollie, has stepped in to his (many) shoes. In a blatant marketing stunt, the price comparison site Kelkoo gave Ollie a selection of gadgets available this Christmas to see which he preferred. 

“Unfortunately for Microsoft, Ollie didn’t ‘Kinect’ with the Xbox,” punned a rep from Kelkoo, “but he was ‘moved’ by the PS3, tipping Sony’s motion controller wand to win the battle for gaming supremacy this Christmas.” 

Ollie was also given a selection of tablet devices and predicted the iPad would triumph over the Samsung Galaxy Tab and BlackBerry Playbook.

“Working with Ollie the octopus was a bundle of fun and given his psychic lineage, we couldn’t think of a better way to predict the UK Christmas best-sellers this year,” said Kelkoo’s Joe Cross.
