How many of you have got your money on a November 25th release for GT5? It is a Thursday so probably not many but that is the latest speculative date based on circumstantial evidence from Japan as reported by andriasang.
It seems that Logicool (the Japanese brand name for Logitech) were planning to release two wheels, the Driving Force GT and G27 alongside the less and less mythical GT5 on the old release date of 3rd November. When GT5 abruptly dropped off the release calendar so did the wheels. Now the release of the wheels has been rescheduled for the 25th.
Assuming Logicool’s/Logitech’s intention is still to release them day and date with GT5, which would be appropriate given the Driving Force GT prominently features the GT logo in the centre of the steering wheel, they may have just leaked the release date. Or perhaps like the rest of us they are just tired of waiting.
Is that close enough to the “on or about” 30th November that appeared on the SonyStyle site recently? Does anyone care about more speculation or are we all enjoying this more than we will the game? Will Alex be happier now that someone else has written a GT5 story?

Nov 25th is Thanksgiving in the US. Then the 26th is black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the season. The 23rd sounds more realistic and the most strategic. If possible…
Now, I don’t know what the hell Sony is doing with this game. I haven’t even seen one commercial for the game. So, they better get busy. Personally I don’t think it will see retail until 2011. I think there is an issue on mass production of blu-ray.
GT6 will be out next year as well….

I don’t think they’re having problems producing the discs. There have been copies turning up in Australia, and Czech something or other. France have had a shipment of over half a mil, and US retailers are claiming they’ve already got the game in stock, waiting for the go ahead from Sony.
