Gran Turismo 5’s Intro Movie

With copies of Gran Turismo 5 now out in the wild and Sony still to announce a release date, it looks like enterprising Czech gamers are doing all their PR for them, creating one hell of a buzz around a game that’s currently getting more free press than your average tabloid-friendly ‘celebrity’.

And, thus, here’s the game’s intro video, courtesy (we assume) of the same group of lucky individuals that have provided most of the game’s juicy bits over the last twenty-four hours.  The video chronicles the creation of the car, starting slowly, and is probably worth saving until you’ve got the game yourself.

Still, it’s GT5, right?

In the meantime, instead of giving us a release date, the US Gran Turismo site has updated with lots of pictures of cars from the SEMA show.  Thanks guys, great stuff.

  1. one plus side of all this is that the game will be out soon… i guess they are just making a few million before setting a date, then theres enough GT for everyone. maybe world wide release will happen

    • That is what i was thinking maybe they’ll just come out one day and say “by the way GT5 is in the stores” since the last release date didn’t work so well they don’t want to make people more mad if it for some reason were to miss it’s new release date fingers crossed it won’t though

    All added, from this point on its now a phyical impossibility for me to read, consume, or even glance at anything to do with this whole tiresome subject.

    • I second this. in fact i may have just vomited a little.

    • i wont be watching the intro, but the other info isnt gona spoil the game, some headtracking videos out there too, not that they are very exciting.

    • you’re all sad sacks. when it does came out it will be awesome. surely you have other things (eg. life) to kill time with in the meantime?

      Had enough now. Not just tired but really quite pissed off with how the media have embraced every bit of miniature. It makes MW2 coverage look pathetic in comparison. I’m assuming Kaz has a perfect score on RateMyPoo.com :-p Seriously, he must produce pure gold!

  7. Am I the only person on the planet who is not really interested in this game? And that intro movie, someone wake me up when it’s finished, Zzzzzz

    • I’m not interested; can’t stand racing ‘simulators’. I prefer stuff like burnout and motorstorm. I thought the intro movie was v. good, pretty imaginative I thought.

  8. So where IS this promised release date. Maybe if we stop talking about it Sony might pull there finger out and give it to us. I bought a DF GT WHEEL for this. Oh well I’ll hopefully have COD BO to keep my gaming going once receaved (hopefully today).

    NOT WATCHED VID MIGHT JUST IGNORE EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THIS GAME UNTIL I HEAR A RELEASE DATE.

  9. Everyone’s talking about 26th November for EU, and 27th for US.
    I think IGN UK reported this, and were given an indication of NO MORE DELAYS.
