Firemint have just fired over the full low-down on their upcoming sequel to the sublime Real Racing, including a release date which will be next Thursday, the 16th of December.
Real Racing 2 will, for the first time, be focused on officially licensed cars (the first game just featured the Golf GTi) and will sport thirty individual vehicles. There’s also 16 car grids against the AI and – incredibly – 16 player online races.
There’s also a detailed career mode (with well over ten hours of gameplay) which will feature GT-style progress with cash and purchasing options, 15 locations, proper vehicle damage, online saves, Game Center integration and five camera angles.
There’s also a trailer, which we’ve handily popped in below, and the latest batch of screenshots. Also below. nice, huh?

Looks impressive. Mobile phone gaming has come on quite a bit in the past 3-4 years.

Looking good. In fact looking at this trailer for an iphone really makes me wonder why GT5 took 5 years!

My thought precisely although in half-jest. The lighting in Real Racing looks sublime (and tastefully done).

Mobile devices seem to be able to show better graphics and perhaps even gameplay than the wii is able to do, amazing!!!
