App Store Gets Massive Release Pile Tonight

As we approach Christmas the App Store traditionally goes quiet on the release of new games, but tonight is an exception: there’s a massive pile of titles releasing between today and tomorrow, with quite a few of the below appearing at midnight.

The highlights are obvious: Firemint’s Real Racing 2 looks astonishing and it’s backed by Gameloft’s AAA shooter, N.O.V.A. 2, but that’s certainly not all.  Look out for a surprise assault on your iPhone from Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and there’s EA’s Battlefield: Bad Company 2 too, which is (we think) launching at 59p.

There’s more, though.  Other great games on the way in the next 24 hours include the Unreal Engine powered Dungeon Defender, Shadow Guardian, a new SEGA Football Manager, a ‘remastered’ version of the sublime point and click Broken Sword and World of Goo for the iPad.

Oh, and an online multiplayer update for Flick Kick Football.  Joy!

  1. This is why PSN can’t compare to the app store,if psp decides to cut down they’re prices bigtime on PSN to a realistic price they have a very very small chance.

I mean, “Prototype (£31.99/€39.99)” it’s unreal! A platinum game aswell!

Not practical but got it would be fun…or even a Mini DS3 about as big as a fun size mars…man that would be cool, connecting it and having a mini set up at work when I should be erm working :-)

  6. Just got a couple of EA games for 59p each. So glad I didn’t buy these full price a month ago.
