Remember when the first batch of Modern Warfare 2 DLC was announced? Everyone went mad at the price, and then promptly paid up and it went on to sell faster than a fast thing. Clearly buoyed by this success, Activision has announced that the Xbox 360 version of CoD: Black Ops will be getting its first round of DLC from February 1 2011, costing 1200 MS Points.
The DLC, titled ‘First Strike’, contains four new regular maps and one new zombie arena. The PS3 is expected to get this at a later date.

I believe that the pricing was created to be in line with the bf vietnam dlc. Yes you may get 5 maps in total compared to battlefields 4 maps + one unlockable map from 69 million squad actions + you get an overhaul of vehicles and weapons so you get more value for money.
Regarding COD I am starting to get annoyed with those idiots that go round on the internet with stupid words like lolcod. Thank god theres no fanboyism here.

Tenner for some maps? Maps that are probably from old CoD games or were put in the game originally and then taken out to charge people at a quarter of the price of the full game. cos people will pay for them, for some reason. A lot of people say it’s over-priced and will still end up buying them, but that’s their decision, not mine. I’m all for map-packs though, but at £10 I’d rather buy two full PSN games.

It’s called basic business. One company has paid for the privilege to have the DLC first. People who care about having the DLC as soon as possible will buy the game on the company’s platform. You may not like it, but it’s not “bollocks”, it’s a sound business practice.

I’ve never had any connection issues with any online game before, but cod black ops is useless. I’ve not played it for a while now, and wont be doing until i hear it works properly. The map pack is an absolute definite no from me, not until they can get the actual game itself to work without constant disconnections and horrendous lag. For the biggest selling game of all time, it’s a total joke.

instead of fixing the game, they make DLC’s… probabily i will sell my game. All that Activision and Treyarch want is money, and i think that they are saying right now: “Fix what? Let’s make some DLC’s…”

I bought the CoD4 MW map packs, didn’t get any of the W@W ones, I got the MW2 map packs, dodn’t think I will get the CoD BlOps ones. See a patern anyone?
