Remember when the first batch of Modern Warfare 2 DLC was announced? Everyone went mad at the price, and then promptly paid up and it went on to sell faster than a fast thing. Clearly buoyed by this success, Activision has announced that the Xbox 360 version of CoD: Black Ops will be getting its first round of DLC from February 1 2011, costing 1200 MS Points.
The DLC, titled ‘First Strike’, contains four new regular maps and one new zombie arena. The PS3 is expected to get this at a later date.

Didnt bought the DLC for MW2 and im not goint to buy one for this either, especially when the PS3 -version of the game is almost unplayable due connection errors and freezing.

Really couldn’t care less about the multiplayer maps, but the zombie map? Very tempting indeed, even at the high price point.

I’m loving blops unlike mw2 which was awful imo, but a tenner for a map pack? no thanx, i got the cod4 maps which were about a fiver and that was worth it, but a tenner is ridiculous.
isn’t there a law about over pricing goods especially given that you cant purchase it from elsewhere? I think that dlc should be purchasable from retail stores and sites (like a psn card)for healthy competition

They’re only over-priced if people en-masse don’t buy them, that won’t happen though, so I’d say the price is at the upper end of what people think is acceptable.
There is of course the debate of whether they’d sell more if they charged less making more money overall but that’s what market research is for. A multi-billion dollar company on a billion dollar franchise would have the price well researched.
Loved BlOps, but its not had a look-in since I bought NfSHP, will get back to it as soon as I’ve finished both NfS campaigns.

i for one will be buying the map pack on ps3 i never bought mw or mw2 i did however buy w@w and all four map packs for it i just hope there are some smaller maps on it like dome on w@w and nuketown on blops i just hate the fact ps3 users wont get the map pack till later cause m$ have the deal with them but on the other hand i get to try before i buy as my brother will get the map pack on xbox

I think they should concentrate on fixing the game before they go adding other stuff to it. I will most likely buy this when PS3 (finally) gets it, hopefully it will be fixed by then.

No chance in hell am i going to reward this back street company any more of my hard earned cash. My experiences with the PS3 and PC versions have been disastrous especially PC which IMO shipped in beta form.
