The staff here at TheSixthAxis started their nominations and voting for our Game of the Year over three weeks ago. We’ve been busy collating data and drawing up fancy charts to display that to you every day from now until the overall grand winner is revealed on the 31st of December.
Don’t despair though, dear readers. We haven’t forgotten about you. Below you will find a list of twenty of the best games of the year. We were limited to the number we could include so we went for a mix of some games that have done well in the staff votes you will be seeing over the coming days and some games which have been critically acclaimed here on TSA and further afield.
There will, inevitably, be some of you who don’t think any of the games listed below are worthy of your vote as Game of the Year. That’s fine, simply tick the option for “None of the above” and let us know in the comments what you would have picked and why. It’s all about discussion at this point of proceedings so don’t be afraid to voice your opinion. Unless you’re Dan rattling on about Bit.Trip.Runner again, we’ve heard enough of that over the last few weeks. Let it go Dan, just let it go…
This poll will remain active right up until this year ticks over into the next and I’ll struggle against my planned hangover to check the results on the 1st (or possibly 2nd, I am planning a big hangover…) of January and let the world know what the TSA Community Game of the Year 2010 is.
Get voting and spread the word!

Red Dead!

Same here, when I think about the games that have given me the most enjoyment this year it’s between Red Dead, God of War III and Fallout, but the freshness of Red Dead tips it for me.
simplebob
Its between Red Dead and Metal Gear Peace Walker, but Undead Nightmares tips the scales for me.

I’ve had to go with Gran Turismo 5. It’s the only game I’ve played this year that has totally grabbed my attention and stubbornly refused to let go!

I wouldn’t have voted for it but where the hell is Bayonetta Peter? Hmm?! :-p
cc_star
Did they ever get it working?
Forrest_01
Yeah, its pretty smooth now – I actually had a blast with it, but i am a bit of a perv! :)

Regardless, the 360 version was glorious.
Deathbrin
Yeah, although technically it’s a 2009 release so it’s fine and proper. Bayo for Game of the Decade! :P
Dan Lee
Oh HA HA! Just for this, I’m going to put Bit.Trip Runner into every article!

Where’s Cut the Rope?
BrendanCalls
Close call between, God of War 3 and Assassins Creed:Brotherhood.
Have to have a good think before I vote I reckon

God of War and Heavy Rain . ..damn how can i choose between them..
Forrest_01
It was a toss up for me between Red Dead & NFS:HP, but eventually went for Red Dead – The world was immense & well realised & credit where credit is due for a great action/3rd person shooter/sandbox game. I am a bit more gripped to NFS:HP at the moment though, so it was a pretty close run thing with me!

Heavy Rain for me, the push towards really involved story telling (despite one or two major plot holes) did it for me. That said from what I’ve heard about F:NV I’d probably be voting for that if I’d had a chance to play it yet!
