I hope you’ve been saving up that pocket money, because Sony seem to want it all over the next few months. MotorStorm Apocalypse has just been confirmed for a launch on the 16th March in Europe – so probably the 18th in the UK – and follows January’s LittleBigPlanet 2 and February’s Killzone 3 in Sony’s pitch for your wallet and soul.
As well as confirming the release date, Evolution Studios’ Matt Southern has popped onto the PlayStation Blog to reveal the European and American boxart for the game (that we first saw back at the tail end of last year). “Our priority here [on the EU cover] is to show what is new in the game, and it slightly harks back to the box for MotorStorm 1. It is quite unusual for a racing game and we spent a long time working out what we thought would be right.”
As with the previous entries in the series, the US will be getting different boxart: “It is much more of a ‘classic’ box and is based on an image we created in early 2010 that I absolutely love, which means I can’t decide which l like best.” Hopefully we’ll see both pieces of art put up online so fans can download and print off the one they prefer.

Euro box art looks much better, US one looks plain and pale.
Loved this game when i was playing it at eurogamer expo, id recommend it to anyone with a 3d tv, it was great. Not sure if ill get it though, im trying to save this year. Trying to buy nothing until autumn for playstation, except from birthday gifts where i get LBP2

yea the Europe box art looks a lot more exciting than the US plain jane one. this game looks really cool, cant wait to see it in action, dont think ill have the money to buy it.

I personally dislike both box arts. The Europe one is taken up too much by the biker and the US one as aformentioned by others is a bit dull.

I agree. It’s not so much that it’s covered up by the racer, but the fact that the whole box art is essentially brown and orange and it doesn’t stand out; it just merges together. The US one, while slightly more plain, would IMO be easier to spot amongst the crowd of other games, but it’s still not great.
