First L.A. Noire Gameplay Footage

After oohing and aahing at the recent cut-scene footage of L.A. Noire – snippets of scenes showcasing Team Bondi’s sublime motion capturing technology – it’s time to get a look at the game in action.

Presented below, check out the first in-depth gameplay video for a look at how the game employs your “detective skills, intuition and cunning” to “make or break each case.”

Entitled “Orientation”, the motley array of in-game scenes depicting witness interrogation, fisticuffs and the game’s shooting mechanics all suggest another mega-hit on Rockstar’s hands.

  1. Reminds me very much of Red Dead Redemption, not a bad thing but it does ask the question when the next GTA is coming out! :D

  2. That MotionScan technology looks incredible. Hadn’t really thought much of the game – from short teaser trailers that didn’t give much away it was hard to determine whether this would be a worthwhile investment – but that trailer was amazing. That’d be my interest piqued then!

  3. Day one purchase for me. Looks awesome.

  4. I, like many others here, think R* really have dropped the ball this gen. I mean…

GTAIV – impressive ragdolls aside, sucked balls compared to the PS2 GTA’s

GTA: Chinatown wars – I could have more fun vomiting blood

RDR – GTAIV, but with EVEN LESS TO DO!

Episodes from Liberty City – an slight improvement on GTAIV, but that just dosen’t cut it

Bully: SE – near perfect, but it’s a PS2 game in HD, so it dosen’t count

But this… this… My god this looks awesome!! Looks so life-like! It’s like GTAIV raped Mafia II, then the bastard baby took steroids non-stop for 30 years! Day one buy!

    • Exactly how is this different to any other Rockstar game? All their games have incredible gameplay and immersive story lines, this seems exactly the same.

      • they give you so much for your money as well. dropped the ball check the metric score for there games this gen that’s not dropping the ball.

  5. I completely agree with cc-star, this does look like revolution and yes at the end of the day it will have the underlying GTA elements underneath it but its what they do with that in the players mind that matters.

  6. This game looks AMAZING! :| OMG WANT.

  7. Also, it’s good to see they’re using PS3 footage, shows it probably won’t be a half-assed, last minute rush-job which is all too common these days. Can’t wait for more info

  8. Though I wish they could have chosen somewhere more original than LA, would be nice to see a game that’s set somewhere other than California or New York.

    • Have you seen Chinatown? Go watch it and tell me L.A. isn’t suitable for this kind of game/story.

  9. Seriously impressed. If the gameplay itselft turns out as good as the game looks, then this stands a huge chance of becoming GOTY

  10. Heavy Rain meets GTA.
