First L.A. Noire Gameplay Footage

After oohing and aahing at the recent cut-scene footage of L.A. Noire – snippets of scenes showcasing Team Bondi’s sublime motion capturing technology – it’s time to get a look at the game in action.

Presented below, check out the first in-depth gameplay video for a look at how the game employs your “detective skills, intuition and cunning” to “make or break each case.”

Entitled “Orientation”, the motley array of in-game scenes depicting witness interrogation, fisticuffs and the game’s shooting mechanics all suggest another mega-hit on Rockstar’s hands.

  1. it seems like the 1st assassins creed with the clue watch interrogate thing but the facial recognition was amazing and i will probably get this just hope each case isnt repetitive

  2. Motion scan looks hugely impressive although could someone in-the-know comment on if it’s limited in the way I think how. From the technology videos it very much is scanning and thus the characters in-game look like their real-world counterparts. This, to me, would be quite the compromise when we look at how motion capture of facial features can transplant seamlessly to a creature’s face, for example.

Regardless, when it comes to “human” actors in-game, there’s nothing to touch this!

  3. That looks absolutely insane. I’ve managed to hold off a pre-order, but I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to resist after watching that…

  4. I hope “agent” and GTA 5 looks as good as this does, keep up the good work R* :D

    • dying for some news on GTA5 or the HD remakes.

  5. I never liked the GTA series, partly because of the gangster theme. I am really interested in this one, since it resembles GTA very little – both in style and it’s on the right side of the law. Besides, it’s not made by Rockstar, only published by them.

  6. While it looks truly amazing, I just get the feeling it’ll be very slow to start and will be in general, boring. And I want to know exactly how it will actually look on the PS3 (the 360 is normally superior in R* games), and while the trailers look awesome, the final game could look quite different.

  7. Unless the story mode can be complete in under 4 hours I’m not interested.

  8. looks great. can’t wait. looks like it has the new gameplay mechanic as well as Rockstar standards to stop it from being too out there.

  9. It directly reminds me of Mafia 2, but as the Good side and looks much better with all the clue solving.
    This looks great!
