Battle: Los Angeles (U.S. title) will be hitting silver screens across the world next month and if you’ve watched the preview and thought to yourself, “that would make a great game setting” then you’re in luck. It seems Konami had a similar idea and might be working on a video game version of the film. According to the Australian Classification Board, the game is being developed by Saber Interactive (the developer of TimeShift) and is set to be a ‘multiplatform’ title.
Keep this news at a good distance as nothing has been officially revealed yet but it certainly seems like a safe bet. In case you’re unfamiliar with the film, you can check out the trailer below.

This film is extremely loosely based on a real-life event. About as loosely based as it is possible to be, mind.

The real-life – but one-sided – Battle of Los Angeles from WW2, amirite?

TimeShift was a fairly decent game so this could be good. I like the look of the film too.

Cannot wait for this movie to come out. The trailers have had me stoked for months. The idea of a game sounds great. Even more encouraging is the fact that it will not be out in time for the theatrical release so it won’t have a due date. Here’s hoping.

looks like a good film.
