Battle: Los Angeles Game Confirmed

We brought you the news a couple of weeks ago that a game based on the Battle: Los Angeles film had been outed by the Australian ratings board. Well, the game has now been confirmed as coming to PSN, LIVE, and PC via Steam and “select distribution channels” next month. Publisher, Konami, had the following to say:

“Players will battle unique and varied enemies, using an arsenal of weapons throughout the game like an assault rifle, sniper rifle, rocket launcher, frag grenades, and a turret gun as they navigate the streets of Los Angeles avoiding fierce and relentless attacks.

Aside from high-caliber fire fighting combat, destructible environments have been included using the Havok Destruction Module, which will allow players to destroy scaffolding structures, vehicles and overpasses to eliminate enemy forces.”

  1. I will bet my house this game gets a metascore of no higher than 65. Sounds like they’ve put precisely zero thought into it.

    • And I’ll wager against you my CD marker pen that it gets a Metascore of higher than 65. Sounds like a fair bet.

  2. They could’ve added mechs… but no its a film!

I don’t know why they’re so scared of adding towering war machines they could make a hit rather than the old boring human vs human formula.

  3. Slightly more info from the game trailer than the film poster I have only seen on buses.

  4. oh no…

  5. I predict this to be as successful as Modern Combat Domination. I bet it will have been rushed and so has a million bugs in it.

  6. Looks Original ! :|
