Duke Nukem Forever Delayed

Yet another chapter has opened in the book of Duke Nukem Forever, as it has been revealed that the game will miss its May launch date. Speaking via a tongue in cheek YouTube video, Gearbox head Randy Pitchford confirms that a new date of June 10 (international) and June 14 (North America) has been set.

  1. I don’t understand all the “oh what a surprise comment”. Since Gearbox picked up the franchise there as been no hint of a delay. Of course it’s ironic that a game that was seemingly never going to be released gets picked up and then delayed, but it’s hardly as if this was always going to happen.

    • God that’s terrible English. Sorry everyone, it should read;
      …all the “oh what a surprise” comments.

  2. lol “/

  3. I’ve got the horrible feeling of another Daikatana. The expectation, the delay… the mediocre end product? I really hope not.

    • I expect a lot of flaws. I’m not expecting ‘a game 14 years in the making’ but as long as it has a decent flow of varied game-play, no game-breaking glitches and, most importantly, the sense of humour, I’ll be happy enough

      • I’ll drink to that. Flaws I can live with – Daikatana was just a flat-out bad game, over-hyped and under-developed.

  4. >< goddammit

  5. Well if they have to delay it that is probably the best way they could have done it!

  6. Well thats fooking sh*t! They should drop the price for the delay!

    • What business school did you go to? 8-)

  7. Shame about the delay, but the video made me chuckle!! ;)

  8. That just blew my face off! not really.

  9. Ah?… its ok, it won’t stop Duke from retaining his crown anyway

  10. Shame about the delay, but at least they managed to quell it with a great vid.
