CVG are reporting that Activision’s next Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game is set for an April reveal.
The news comes by way of Future published mag PSM3, which claims that “the next in Activision’s megaton FPS series will be announced in mid-April.”
This, of course, would fit nicely with last year’s reveal of Black Ops, which was also around about the same sort of time.
“Based on the ending of MW2,” says the magazine, “we’d be surprised if the story doesn’t pick up with Soap and Price on the run, after they were set up by General Shephard.”
EA’s own first person shooter, Battlefield 3, will be up against stiff competition.

Big fan of IW’s COD’s, although dont know if this one will be as good because of the upheaval and the other studios brought into to work on the game. Ive read the rumours that it will be a prequel and feature Ghost as the main character (PSM3 source)…(not my personal source, just where I read the rumour).
I really dont like Black Ops, didnt like W@W either although I’m one of the suckers that will always give the new COD a try. Cant help myself.

BF3 has already won me. MW3 will have to seriously impress before I’m going to buy it. Another chapter with some new gadgets/guns/modes won’t be enough.
Anyway, the masses will but it again probably. Still, they’re going to lose one day if they keep milking the franchise instead of advancing.

If it’s like MW1 then yes, bring it on. If it’s like MW2, then no, go away.
